Living DNA comes alive at RootsTech 2017

Last week the Living DNA team flew to the US to take their product international for the very first time at the annual RootsTech conference held in Salt Lake City, Utah.

The show ran over four days, and our product was received so well that we sold out. As our first international event, we were blown away by how well our Living DNA test was received, which enables Americans to trace their ancestry back to the UK and showing them more detail than ever before.

Across the duration of the show, our booth had thousands of people coming to talk to us; enquiring for help on their research and wanting to test with us to break down their ancestry into a sub-regional level. With so many individuals from the United States having British ancestors, many were excited to find out what part of Britain they came from and potentially break through their research barriers.

By day two we were fortunate enough to be able to move to a bigger stand just so we could keep up with the demand. Throughout the weekend, each staff member loved connecting and engaging with all of you who attended - from well versed genealogists to adopted kids who were looking for answers.

We also received a huge amount of support by well respected genealogists who mentioned us in their talks and brought over friends, employees and colleagues to take our test. It really is appreciated to be received so well in the industry, especially with being the new kids on the block.

The reception is a confirmation of  the great collaborative work we have all put into the product and service we provide

Our whole team had the greatest experience at the conference, while listening to you all, really learning about what you want to see come out of the industry. From talking to you all, we received a lot of inspiration on where Living DNA could really be in years to come.

With the amount of success we had at the conference, we have already signed up to attend for a second year, which will be held in the Salt Palace Convention Center in Salt Lake City, Utah on February 28-March 3. Tickets will go on sale in due course.
